With our Online basics courses you won't have to spend ages teaching someone new skills. But you will need to use a computer with working internet access.

At someone's house

If they've got a computer but never use it you're in luck. All you need do is get them motivated and then show them Online basics.

If they don't, why not invite them round to your house? They can complete the courses in comfort, with you on hand to help or reassure them if needed.

At work

If you've got a colleague who's not online you could help them sign up to Online basics in your lunch break. We run Pass IT on with employers and organisations across the country. For more information visit our partner site.

At a UK online centre

UK online centres across England offer help and support in accessing the internet, Online basics and loads of other free beginners courses.

Centres can be found in libraries, community centres and other easy access places. Use the centre search on the right of this page to find a UK online centre.

In Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland your local library, further education centre, community learning location or IT centre may let you use a computer for free.
